A. Lincoln: A Biography
Author of new bestselling Lincoln biography to appear
September 21 at Presidential Library
SPRINGFIELD - The author of a new bestselling biography of Abraham Lincoln will hold a book discussion and signing Monday, September 21 at 7 p.m. in the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library's Multi-Purpose Room. Reservations are required for this free event, and may be made by calling (217) 558-8934.
Ronald C. White, Jr. is the author of A. Lincoln: A Biography, which is a New York Times, Washington Post, and Los Angeles Times bestseller. White is also the author of Lincoln's Greatest Speech: The Second Inaugural, a New York Times Notable Book of 2002 and a Washington Post and San Francisco Chronicle bestseller; and The Eloquent President: A Portrait of Lincoln Through His Words, a Los Angeles Times bestseller and a selection of the Book-of-the-Month Club and the History Book Club.
Ronald White has lectured at the White House and been interviewed on the News Hour with Jim Lehrer. He is a graduate of UCLA, Princeton Theological Seminary, and earned his Ph.D. in Religion and History from Princeton University. White has taught at UCLA, Princeton Theological Seminary, Whitworth University, Colorado College, and San Francisco Theological Seminary. He is a fellow at the Huntington Library and Visiting Professor of History at UCLA.
