Put the Museum in their stockings
"Bicentennial Bucks" gift certificates can be spent anywhere in
the Presidential Museum, and each buck is a potential grand prize winner

Springfield, IL — You can now put the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum in holiday stockings this year, and give that special someone a chance at winning a one-of-a-kind prize by doing so.

"Bicentennial Bucks" gift certificates, sold at the Museum ticket counter, are $50 for a stack of 50 or $25 for a stack of 25, one-dollar coupons that may be used for admission, gift shop merchandise, or food items in the Museum Café. They may also be ordered by phone at (217) 558-8939 and are valid through December 31, 2010.

The back of each "Bicentennial Buck" includes an entry form, and when the back is filled out, each "Buck" enters the spender in prize drawings that will occur through 2010. The grand prize to be awarded at the end of 2010 is a "Night at the Museum," a lavish party for up to 200 guests, including hors d'oeuvres and non-alcoholic beverages, that is valued at $6,000. Other prizes will be awarded periodically through December 31, 2010.

People can also enter the prize drawing without a purchase by obtaining an entry form at the Museum ticket counter.

"Bicentennial Bucks" is one of the many promotions leading to the celebration of Abraham Lincoln's 200th birthday and beyond. For more information on Bicentennial activities planned in Illinois, visit www.lincoln200.net.
